Anna León Buenos Aires shoes are classic tango shoes inspired by outside-of-tango fashion. Made for the tough wear and tear of stage tango, they will undoubtedly last the social dancer for many years. The shoes are 100% leather; no shortcuts are taken in materials, inside or out. The most important things for Anna is that her shoes are comfortable, well made, arrive in a timely fashion, and are of course… absolutely gorgeous.
Anna León started designing her own tango shoes from the very start, and met the Britos family while ordering her first pair of tango shoes in Buenos Aires.
Anna has always been an artist and designer. She has been in the shoe business since she was 17, painting custom designs on Vans sneakers since she was in high school. She graduated with a degree in interior design/pre-architecture, and expanded her artistic background in many new directions from woodworking, to landscape design, to intaglio print making. To Anna, art is making connections and seeing the composition of all things, time, space, sound, and light. As a tanguera, her main art forms are teaching, social dancing, designing clothes, and now, tango shoes.
